Condolence & Memory Journal

I have nothing but fond memories of Bo from the many houseboat trips we took together with mutual friends on Lake Cumberland. He was the captain of the ship, making sure everyone was safe and enjoying themselves. He made great peach fuzzes, his signature blender drink that he would make for the group every year. He taught me how to fish even though I didn't like to touch any thing! He was always ready to play a game of cards, take a group water skiing, make a run to the dock, or whatever was needed. He was one of the kindest men I've ever known. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. The world had lost a very kind soul.

Although I have not seen Ray in years, I always considered him as a good friend. I think that if you knew Ray, you would call him a good friend.. Most of my favorite childhood memories included him. Ray and I fished near his Grandma Schaefer's home on Buffalo Ridge when we were kids. I think she may have been responsible for his nickname "Bo". Ray and I played many sports together while growing up. Ray was a good catcher on our Miami Heights Knothole baseball team. Ray, David, Bobby Joe and I had a regular Tuesday morning golf match at Neumann YGA during our early teens. Although we played on many organized basketball teams, our best basketball games were the Saturday pick-up games at our hoop next to the UDF. When Ray was a senior, he had a beautiful maroon Cobra Mustang, that was his pride and joy. He enjoyed taking us on thrill rides in his hotrod. During the summer of 1978, we had some great times at the Shady Land Swim Club. There wee epic tennis matches and volleyball games. Ray was the kind of player that everyone wanted on their team. Unfortunately the Big Man Up Above must have been in need of a great team player. We are very saddened by Ray's premature departure. Rest in peace my good friend. You will be dearly missed by many.

So sorry for your families loss . Bo will be greatly missed by many family and friends and especially by Timmy and Dawn and their families. Keep the great times you had with him close to your heart and he will always be there with you each and every day. When you look up to the sky know he's is a better place and that he is watching over you and has that gray big smile that every one knew him for.

We have lost one of our true friends in this community.
To borrow some words from Will Rogers, Bo never met a person he didn't like and conversely, no one ever met Bo that didn't like him.
Hopefully Bo, they have golf scrambles in heaven.
We will all miss your smile and friendship.

We have definitely lost a wonderful guy and friend. I'll remember Bo for the kind-hearted person he always was. So very sad. Unfortunately, I will not make the visitation and service, but my sympathy goes to his family and friends.

I met Ray in the 7th grade which is a long, long time ago. Although we weren't best friends we were friends and always had nice conversations and laughs when we crossed paths at the watering holes or golf outings or Cabana. He always had a smile on his face and was fun to be around. If anyone needs a role model on how to make the world a better place it would be Bo! In being his classmate it really puts things in perspective on loving your family and friends each and everyday and make peace with those you need to! Will miss your smile and laugh and when I have a screwdriver I will toast you up above!
Your friend and classmate! Cary

I was blessed to have Bo as a part of my life for 32 years. Although our marriage didn't work, we remained friends and I loved him. Everyone loves Bo! That smile was almost always on his face and that trademark giggle. My condolences to his brother Tim, to his girlfriend Dawn and her children and grandchildren. He loved them all. I will miss him dearly.

I never saw Bo without a smile, never heard him utter an unkind word He was a great person and a good friend to all he met.
So sad that he is gone way too soon.
Rest in peace.

Used to car pool with Bo when we transferred to East Bend together. Never saw him in a bad mood. And the stories about Bo's turn to drive will live forever, and will always bring a laugh. Rest in Peace my friend.

Like so many, we count ourselves blessed to have had Bo in our lives. He was the best man in our wedding, and he is the Godfather to our son Michael. He is, in every possible way, a member of our family. Although we know he is in God's loving care, we will miss him every day and look forward to the time when we see him again. We hope he's upstairs - playing cards with my dad (Dick Guay) and Uncle Mike (Weber). Don't be afraid to call up trump, Bo. We love you! Ellen, Mike and Michael II
