I am saddened to hear about the passing of Betty. She was a beautiful lady inside and out. We had alot of laughs and good times. We were blessed to have her and Mel as neighbors for several years. Was always blessed to enjoy their children Matt and Heather. What a joy you both brought to us. Matt I remember you coming over and singing Delta Dawn all the time every verse. I loved it and all the memories you blessed me with. Heather I still have a pink dress of yours and a baby bathing suit that was left at our house. You mom loved to hear you cry as a baby and I didn't so I would run to your house and pick you up and bring you over to our house. What a blessing. I remember that we all laughed alot and we cried together to. As we do now with the loss of your mom. I remember her everyday sweeping the side walks and even the street in front of your house. I have so many precious and wonderful memories and I thank God for bringing her into my life. Know that you are in our prayers now and in the days ahead. You always kept it real with me even when you knew it wasn't what I wanted to hear, AUNT BETTY YOU WERE NOT ONLY MY AUNT, YOU WERE MY FRIEND, YOU WILL BE GREATLY MISSED BY ME AND MANY........LOVE ALWAYS YOUR BUDDY, YOUR NEPHEW, SCOTTIE--AS YOU ALWAYS CALLED ME...... I was only privileged enough to know you for a short period of time. I feel I was cheated but the little time that we did spend together I will cherish for a lifetime. You were one of a kind and I will miss you like no other. I take solace in knowing that you are no longer suffering in pain. Please say hello to my momma and tell her that I love her.
